Microsoft Publisher replacement for Windows and Mac
PubKeep
Goodbye Publisher. Hello PubKeep.
Microsoft removed Publisher from Microsoft 365 on October 1, 2026, and support for the older perpetual versions ends October 13. Without Publisher, your .pub files won’t open. PubKeep keeps them open and editable.
- Opens your .pub files directly
- Pay once, no subscription
- Code-signed by Saint Systems
- Free 7-day trial, no card needed
$99 one time through October 31 (regularly $149). 30-day refund, for any reason.

Nearly 2,000 churches, nonprofits, schools and businesses signed up in the first two weeks.
PubKeepby Saint Systems
PubKeep is a Saint Systems product. Get it at pubkeep.com.
PubKeep, a Microsoft Publisher replacement for Windows and Mac, opens your .pub files, so you keep editing them the way you always have: the same text boxes, master pages, and fold-over booklets, page for page. Buy it once, with no subscription and a free 7-day trial (no credit card needed). Volume licenses cover 5 to 25 computers.
Everything you created in Publisher, carried forward
One app for your Publisher files. It opens them, keeps them editable, and exports print-ready PDF on the computer you already have.
Opens .pub without Publisher
PubKeep reads the Publisher format on its own, right on your computer. You do not need a copy of Publisher, or even Windows.
Page for page
Your file opens the way you built it, not reflowed the way free importers do. Text stays text, and every box stays movable.
Windows and Mac
Publisher only ran on Windows. PubKeep runs on both, so your .pub files open natively on a Mac for the first time.
The layout tools you used
Master pages, fold-over booklets, guides, linked text boxes, and mail merge from Excel or CSV lists.
Safe to install
PubKeep is code-signed by Saint Systems, a long-time Microsoft partner. On Windows you can install it from the Microsoft Store.
Buy it once
One payment, and the app is yours. No subscription, and no bill that shows up every month.

The layout tools you already know
You do not have to rebuild twenty years of layouts in Word, and you do not have to learn Canva or InDesign. Text boxes, columns, and pages stay live. Move a photo or fix a date, then print again.
- Master pages, headers, and page numbers
- Fold-over booklets that print in the right order
- Mail merge from Excel or CSV lists
- Avery label sheets, name badges, and postcards
- Print on both sides, or export a PDF

From early users
“PubKeep is a great replacement option for Publisher, with a layout that feels familiar. It’s fantastic! Thank you for building this.”
Sara DrottDirector of Media, East Ridge Baptist Church “The relief I feel knowing I’m not going to lose 20 years of Publisher files is immense. It’s very much worth the license cost.”
LeeAnn M.Preschool Director “I tried Affinity and Scribus, and both were going to require some relearning. I was pleasantly surprised to see PubKeep was more like Publisher than the others.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to do anything to my files first?
No. Your .pub files still work just as they are. You don’t need to open, re-save, or convert them. PubKeep opens them whenever you need them, next week or years from now.
Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Try it free for 7 days on your own files first. There is no charge and no card needed.
Does it work on Mac?
Yes. PubKeep runs on Windows and Mac. Publisher only ran on Windows, so this is the first time your .pub files open natively on a Mac.
Is it a subscription?
No. You pay once and keep the version you have. Every license includes 1 year of updates.
How is it different from LibreOffice Draw or Scribus?
LibreOffice Draw and Scribus can import a .pub, but they reflow it. Fonts shift, spacing moves, and you clean up one file at a time. PubKeep aims for high fidelity, page for page, and keeps your file editable without the reflow. It also feels familiar: a ribbon with Home, Insert, Page Design, Mailings and View tabs, laid out the way Publisher users expect, so there is little to relearn.
Is it the same as Publisher?
No. PubKeep opens your Publisher files and covers the layout work you did in Publisher. It is not a copy of Microsoft’s app, and it does not use Microsoft’s menus or icons.
