By default, the plugin sends these Mailchimp fields:
- EMAIL - Customer email address
- FNAME - First name
- LNAME - Last name
Customization Guides
Learn how to extend the plugin’s functionality:
Sending Data to Mailchimp
- Sending Additional Fields to Mailchimp - Add custom checkout fields (like birthday) and send them to Mailchimp merge tags
- Sending WooCommerce Order Information to Mailchimp - Send order data like order total, products purchased, and order date to Mailchimp
Advanced Customization
- Changing the List Based on Custom Logic - Subscribe customers to different Mailchimp lists based on custom conditions
- Changing the List Based on WPML Language - Use different Mailchimp lists for different languages in multilingual stores
Code Integration
All customizations use WordPress action and filter hooks that you can add to your theme’s functions.php file or a custom plugin. The main hook you’ll use is:
add_filter('ss_wc_mailchimp_subscribe_merge_tags', 'your_custom_function', 10, 3);
This allows you to modify the data sent to Mailchimp for each subscriber.
