This release includes many important new features and requested enhancements:
- Improved Control over Product-Specific Behavior
You can now configure the plugin to always subscribe customers to product-specific lists from the main plugin settings page. This defaults to disabled to ensure the previous default behavior was retained. This is ideal for transactional email where you want to be able to communicate with customers who have purchased specific-products.
- Mailchimp Tag Support!
Many customers have requested the ability to set product-specific tags based on products purchased as well as global tags on the main plugin settings page. You can now do both and tag customers who buy certain products for improved automatic segmentation of your Mailchimp lists.
- Control the “Expiration Action” for WooCommerce Subscription Products
You can now control the “expiration action” for WooCommerce Subscription products when a customer’s product subscription expires. You configure whether or not you want customers unsubscribed from the list (the default), removed from the selected interest groups and tags, removed from selected interest groups only or removed from the selected tags only. This gives you powerful, fine grained control over how your WooCommerce Subscription products work with your Mailchimp account.
Finally, we squashed a few bugs and used this release to sync up the plugin versions (2.3.0) between our free and pro versions to make it more readily apparent what versions are compatible with each other.
