Today, we are excited to announce the general availability of version 1.4.0 of the Gravity Forms Dynamics CRM / Dynamics 365 Add-On for WordPress.
WordPress Dynamics CRM / Dynamics 365 Plugin

WordPress Dynamics CRM / Dynamics 365 Plugin

Today’s release includes the following new features and fixes:
  • Support for Creating Cases in Dynamics CRM / Dynamics 365
You can now create customer service forms where customers can create tickets (cases) in Dynamics after filling out a form on your website. Since cases must be associated with a Customer (Contact or Account), there are simple options for selecting which customer type (Contact or Account) the form should lookup and a field mapping where you can select which form fields should be used to lookup the Customer. You can even configure the case feed to create a Customer (Contact or Account) if no matching customer is found.
  • Support for Attachments
If your form has a file upload field (or multiple file upload fields). You can now add them to a feed using the Attachments settings on the feed settings page. Attachments can still be stored in WordPress, but will also be uploaded to Dynamics under the Notes section for the entity. Create Attachments in Dynamics CRM / Dynamics 365 from WordPress
  • Faster Form Submissions
Dynamics feed processing has been moved to the background so that WordPress form submissions to Dynamics CRM and Dynamics 365 are faster and more seamless.
  • Added Explicit Refreshing of Dynamics Metadata cache
When you connect your site to Dynamics CRM / Dynamics 365, we retrieve the Dynamics entity fields and associated metadata and cache it. Previously, the only way to refresh the field/metadata cache was to visit the Forms > Settings > Dynamics CRM page which would trigger the refresh, but most customers didn’t know this. We recognized this was less than ideal and not intuitive. With today’s update, when you visit the Forms > Settings > Dynamics CRM page, you’ll see a button that allows you to explicitly refresh the Dynamics Metadata if you have added new entities, custom fields, or changed field settings in Dynamics. This is much more intuitive and now provides customers better control over their WordPress Dynamics CRM / Dynamics 365 integration.
  • Fix: Entity Owner Reassignment
Today’s update fixes an open issue where existing leads, contacts, would get their owner reassigned on an update.
  • Fix: Improved handling of Authentication disconnect and email notification
Last release (v1.3.12) we added support for a background job to refresh the authentication token obtained from Office 365/Azure AD. This release, we’ve improved the reliability of the email that is sent to the site admin or override admin email in the event the access token expires.
These features and fixes were driven by customer feedback and we continue to refine and enhance the product to make it to the best way to integrate WordPress with Dynamics CRM and Dynamics 365. If you already own a copy of the plugin, you can download today’s update (v1.4.0) from your WordPress Dashboard or from the My Account page. If you don’t have a copy, you can purchase one the Gravity Forms Dynamics CRM / Dynamics 365 product page.
